Hoopster Shop is an online store for NBA Hoopster, a Croatian basketball apparel brand that makes t-shirts and hoodies for people who live and breathe basketball culture. I designed and built the whole thing, from the first wireframe to the last line of checkout logic.
The brief
NBA Hoopster needed a store, not a brochure. The brand already had a clear identity: basketball culture, streetwear energy, product that people actually want to wear. What it didn't have was a place to sell it. The brief was simple to say and harder to do well: a fast, minimal, product-forward shop that could take real orders from day one, on a budget and timeline that made sense for a young brand.
What I built
I built the site on Webflow, which gave me a fast path to a clean visual system without sacrificing control over layout and interaction. Webflow's CMS handles the product catalog, so new drops and collections can go live without touching code. Where Webflow's native interactions ran out of road, I wrote custom JavaScript: filtering and sorting on the shop grid, small interaction details on product cards, and the glue code that makes the cart and checkout feel like one continuous flow instead of a series of separate steps.
Commerce was the part I cared about getting right. I set up a full e-commerce and checkout integration so customers can browse, pick sizes and variants, and pay without friction. That meant thinking about the boring but critical stuff: cart state persisting correctly, checkout validation, order confirmation, and making sure the whole path from product page to "order placed" works on a phone as well as it does on a laptop, since most of Hoopster's traffic is mobile.
Design-wise, I kept it minimalist and modern. Basketball merch lives or dies on how the product photography reads, so the UI gets out of the way: generous white space, a restrained type system, and grid layouts that let the t-shirts and hoodies do the talking. No unnecessary decoration competing with the product.
The result
Hoopster Shop is live at hoopstershop.hr as a working store, not a prototype. It gives NBA Hoopster a real commerce channel that matches the brand's identity, easy for them to update with new products and easy for customers to actually complete a purchase on. The custom JavaScript layer means the site can keep the simplicity of Webflow's visual editor while still behaving like a proper shop under the hood, which is exactly the balance a brand at this stage needs: something that looks and feels custom without the overhead of a fully custom stack.
