Growth Strategies

Growth Strategies d.o.o. does the kind of work that doesn't forgive a sloppy website: EU project management, public procurement consulting, construction project oversight. Clients hiring a consultancy for a multi-million euro EU funded build want to see competence before they ever pick up the phone. That's the site I built.

The brief

Growth Strategies needed a corporate site that communicated expertise and transparency at a glance, across multiple audiences and, critically, multiple languages. The services span construction project management (voditelj projekta gradnje), EU project studies and grant applications, public procurement advisory, and broader project development support. Each of those is a different buyer with different questions, and the site had to serve all of them without turning into a confusing catalogue. Professional, corporate, trustworthy, and clear were the non-negotiables.

What I built

I built the site on WordPress with a custom theme in PHP, rather than reaching for a page builder or an off the shelf theme. For a consulting firm, the content structure matters more than visual flourish: services need clean hierarchy, case-by-case detail needs to be scannable, and the multilingual setup needs to be reliable rather than bolted on. A custom theme let me control exactly how services, team, and project types were modeled in WordPress, instead of fighting a generic theme's assumptions about what a "services page" looks like.

Multilingual support was a core requirement from day one, not an afterthought, so I built the content structure with translation in mind from the template level up, keeping layouts stable regardless of which language is being rendered. That matters a lot in this space, since EU project documentation and public procurement work often needs to be presented credibly to both domestic and international stakeholders.

Visually, I kept things restrained: a serious, corporate palette, clear typographic hierarchy for service descriptions, and layouts that let dense information (procurement processes, project management methodology) breathe instead of feeling like a wall of legal text. The goal was a site that reads as competent within the first five seconds, because in this industry that first impression is doing real business development work.

The result

Growth Strategies now has a site that matches the seriousness of the work it represents. It gives a Croatian consulting firm operating in the EU funding and public procurement space a professional front door that holds up whether the visitor is a municipality, a private developer, or an EU program administrator, and the WordPress backend gives the team a foundation they can keep updating without needing a developer for every change.
